Keep Bucket Browser on screen
Use the controls built into your device to keep a student in Bucket Browser during a lesson.
This is a device convenience, not a substitute for adult supervision or a complete parental-control system.
iPhone and iPad: Guided Access
Apple’s Guided Access temporarily restricts the device to one app.
- Open Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access and turn it on.
- Open Passcode Settings, create a Guided Access passcode, and optionally enable Face ID or Touch ID.
- Open Bucket Browser, triple-click the side, top, or Home button, choose session options, then tap Start.
- To finish, triple-click the same button and authenticate.
Android: App pinning
Android can keep one app visible until the screen is unpinned.
- Open Settings → Security and find App pinning. Names vary by device.
- Turn on app pinning and require the device PIN, pattern, or password to unpin.
- Open Bucket Browser, open the app overview, tap the Bucket Browser icon, and choose Pin.
- Use the displayed button or gesture combination to unpin, then authenticate.
Names and gestures vary by Android version and device maker.

Windows: Assigned Access
Windows offers Assigned Access for kiosk and restricted-user experiences. Availability depends on the Windows edition and app packaging.
- Confirm the device runs a supported Windows edition, then open Settings → Accounts → Other users.
- Under Set up a kiosk, select Get started and create or choose the local school account.
- Select Bucket Browser only if Windows lists it as an eligible kiosk app. Otherwise use a restricted-user configuration.
- Sign in to the assigned account and test both the locked experience and administrator exit path.
Exact Bucket Browser compatibility with Windows single-app Assigned Access will be confirmed before the Windows release.
